Hello friends and supporters, with this year's March To End Rape Culture rapidly approaching we'll be conducting brief volunteer orientations at a location in Queen's Village this coming Thursday, September 28th at 6PM and 8PM. Roles we're looking to fill include:
- Leading sections of the march in empowering chants with a megaphone
- Directing the march to turn at predetermined points along the route
- Handing out flyers explaining the march to passers-by
- Setup and cleanup
- Runners for any last-minute tasks
Volunteers should be available between 9AM and 3PM (not the entire time, but roles are available from the initial setup until we're finished cleaning everything up). Please RSVP to info@mterc.org and let us know which session you'd like to attend, either 6PM or 8PM, and we'll follow up by reserving your spot and sharing the location detail. Trainings shouldn't take more than an hour, are required for new volunteers and highly recommended for past volunteers. Thanks!
